Please click HERE for the Key Words booklet for Y10 and Y11 students. The booklet contains key words for GCSE and other examinations and are designed to help students in their preparations.
On Tuesday October 13th, students in Y10 and Y11 took part in a Preparation for the Future day. The day focussed on how students can approach the decisions that will be facing them in the near future; Work Experience for Y10 and College applications for Y11, for example. There was also advice given and offered to students on how to prepare for examinations, including how to approach examinations, how to revise and how to look after themselves both physically and emotionally. The day culminated in the Careers Convention at the Winter Gardens, which was attended by over 360 of our students.
Students in Y10 and Y11 were issued with the ‘Preparing for the Future’ booklet, which gives advice on how to prepare for exams. For parents’ information, a copy of booklet that is available HERE, along with the Useful Web-sites list HERE. Y11 students were also given a planning booklet, to help them plan for their forthcoming mock examinations ( copy of the timetable available HERE).
To help with their revision, students can buy from school flipcharts for £3 each; Flippers for 50p each and the Letts Essential Study kills booklet for £2. If all three are bought together the cost is £5!
